Museum and precious

Rolo inlaid dodecagonal table,

in solid walnut and inlays of various woods,

dating back to the first half of the 19th century.

in the middle of the Restoration period.

The structural characteristics, are those of this period,

shape of the round top with a convex dodecagonal profile,

with column turned shank,

which still recalls types of Empire style,

with cup motif and superimposed ring-like projections.

A wide molded gorge

it divides it from the base which is also turned.

The three supports, connected laterally,

have curl ending.

The surface of the top,

characterized by a graffiti motif,

which reproduces Napoleon on horseback,

who greets, moving away,

all surrounded by celebrants dancers.

Some signs of peace achieved

appear on the Imperial steed,

like the dove, with the classic olive branch,

and the saddlebag with the Napoleonic coat of arms,

overlooking the one with the Hapsburg coat of arms.

Delicate and rewarding,

the shaped railing pattern.

Found in an excellent state of conservation

in a superb first amber patina.

Viewing and possible collection on site is welcome.
