The drafting of the text is edited by Alessandro Odierna - White Gloves / Services for on-line antiquarians The model faithfully reproduces a prototype of a table very popular during the 15th century and the following century in central Italy and especially in Tuscany; here, fifteenth-century inventories refer to these tables as "writing desks", a terminology that is no longer in use but which survives in Anglo-Saxon jargon "desk" to define precisely the writing table.
