PAINTING UNDER GLASS (FIXÈ SOUS VERRE) - "ALLEGORY OF THE GLORY OF ROME" - XVIII CENTURY
Rare painted under glass depicting the allegory, centered on the image of the glorification of the Empire of Rome, personified by the man on horseback with the general armor placed on the left side of the painting. On the right side are depicted dancing nymphs intent on playing. The composition stages a multitude of figures that combine to animate it. The work is in good condition, has a break in the lower left corner (see detail in photo). Complete with coeval golden frame. A work that is difficult to find on the antique market because it is very fragile, it has reached us
