Dual portrait dating from the last quarter of the 1700s. The gentlewoman and the little girl are portrayed in a family attitude, the first session in a stately way on an armchair whose back is interwoven with a canneté, the other in a more dynamic pose, embraced by the mother, as she emerges from behind her. The artist knows how to render the confidence and affection between mother and daughter, while the calm and reassuring look of the first reflects the serenity of their relationship; it is likely that it is the same painter's family. Oil on original canvas of cm.72 x 57.5; frame originates
