Painting on panel depicting St. Francis of Assisi in meditation, in the act of worshiping the Crucifix. The painter has painted the iconographic attributes usually associated with the saint, such as the skull and the stigmata (peculiarity of an iconographic version of a more mature, conscious and participant Saint Francis in the sufferings of Christ). Excellent pictorial execution, to note the expression of the Saint's face and the realistic nature of the hand resting on the skull. Good state of preservation, small pictorial touch-ups in the monochrome areas of the background and one on the upper part of the skull. Period: 18th century Measurements: cm. 33 x 24.5
