Small painting from the Cuzco school (Peru), depicting the archangel Gabriel killing the devil. The Cuzco artists broke away from European models and left the real world to enter the fairy tale. So they began to paint the angels wrapped in regal clothes embellished with decorations. They painted several sets of angels: angels holding firearms spears and flags; angels musicians who played instruments and angels who wore female skirts with armor, helmet and shield. In the case of our small painting the archangel with these characteristics is depicted. Period: '700 Origin: Peru Dimensions: 19.5 x 24.5 cm
