"Indian child" CIA Manna Polychrome Turin ceramic from the 1930s / 40s. Mark on the base: CIA MANNA Torino n. 420. Measurements: The ceramist Manna, towards the end of the 1920s, was hired as a modeler and decorator for the production of artistic ceramics at the "Lenci" factory in Turin, owned by Helen Konig Scavini. Like other employees of the glorious Turin factory at the beginning of the Thirties he abandoned the "Lenci", by now in deep economic difficulties, and opened, in Turin, his own laboratory called "CIA" (Italian Artistic Ceramics).
