(STB38) The Two Cani Greyhounds, proposed here, are in Bronze from the nineteenth century. Original 19th century patina. The quality work is signed Pierre-Jules MÈNE (1810-1879), an important French sculptor of the 19th century. Pierre-Jules MÈNE was born March 25, 1810 in Paris and died in 1879 also in Paris. A pupil of René Compaire, he participated in the Salon de Paris from 1838 to 1879. During his career he received numerous prizes and medals, in 1852 and in 1861 he received the first class medal.
