The Ancient Marble Sculptures category proposes a Male Sculpture , a Bust of a Small-sized Laughing Child-Child,

from the end of the 19th century, 19th / 20th century. The statue in white Carrara marble bears a signature on the base of the Italian sculptor Pugi.

Guglielmo Pugi (1850-1915), born in Tuscany in Fiesole, works in Florence where he has his studio-atelier.

Many works created by the sculptor were made for the foreign market especially towards the United States,

in fact in 1901 he participated in New York at the Buffalo Fair and in 1904 in Missouri at the Exposition Universelle.
