The subject is typical of the Tuscan sculptor, who with lightness and skill proposes the theme of childhood in an ironic situation of "escaped danger" with the escape from the dachshund on a horse of the caring child with the attentive attitude of an older sister. The modernly rough modeling is beautiful and visibly modeled by the artist's bare hands.

Chip at the base and tail of the dog restored.
