Portrait of Friars Dominican Order, as indicated by the cross on the chest and the lining of the characteristic hood turned on the shoulders. The painting is dated in the last quarter of the seventeenth century and is attributed to an artist near Venetian Sebastiano Bombelli. The ability to quickly grasp the "character" of a person with its features and to instantly instill the sincere liveliness of the face, along with the quick and safe painting, are features that characterize Sebastian Bombelli's portraiture and were absorbed by most sensitive among the painters who were gravitating around his shop.
